Bearcat Blast is a free, comprehensive summer program for Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS) students (grades K–12) designed to prevent summer learning loss through STEM activities, field trips, and academic support. Held at various locations (Verona Elementary, BC STEM, BC Central), it runs Monday–Thursday with Friday field trips (in collaboration with KYD Network).
These programs are at no cost and made possible through a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant and the 32n OST Grant sponsored by MiLEAP who is in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education. The Fun Fridays program is generously sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
