Eastside Youth Strong supports Eastside youth in their goals to graduate and be socially and emotionally strong. We offer programs that offer youth an opportunity to grow as individuals and be successful in their own unique way. We value our responsibility to hold youth accountable and encourage them to try new things.
STEAM is a high quality summer program designed to help 5th and 6th graders transition into middle school and get a head start on their learning. STEAM follows a carefully designed curriculum that encourages and inspires youth to be involved in STEAM education. In addition, STEAM has two knowledgeable support staff so that participants receive one-on-one interaction as needed. STEAM students are able to do hands-on projects and go on some amazing, memorable trips.
STEAM selects potential candidates who want to improve their learning and confidence in the five concentration areas. Students who are selected must be able to commit to the entire summer program in order to maximize the learning opportunity.
