Elizabeth Garcia
Out-of-School Time Program Development Coach
Elizabeth is a half Nicaraguan and half Colombian Latina,born and raised in Miami, Florida. Elizabeth graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an English Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement and a minor in Philosophy. She has over nine years of education and nonprofit experience, working with marginalized and Limited English Proficient students and families. She hopes to continue her education with a Master's in Public Administration. At the core of her work she values relationships, and social justice advocacy. In her role at KYD Network she hopes to implement best practices as an Out-of-School Time (OST) Program Development Coach and continue advocating for quality OST programs.
